There’s just one more week to go until one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals returns to the UK! The line-up for Creamfields 2022 features some of the biggest names in the industry, and with almost 70,000 people attending the festival each day, it’s about to get wild!

If you’re one of the lucky people that got your Creamfields tickets, it’s time to pack to get the best festival experience. Find out all you need to know about getting there, a list of essential items you need to take with you and what you need to leave at home.

Which items am I not allowed to take?

Whether you’re camping at the festival or just attending it for the day, there are some items that are not allowed on the premises of the festival. These are:

• Anything made of glass, including:

  - Perfumes
  - Sodas
  - Aftershave
  - Mirrors
• Portable speakers
• Gazebos
• Aerosols (including deodorant)
• Air horns
• Blowtorches
• Campervans
• Campfires
• Chinese lanterns
• Drones
• Firearms, weapons, sharps
• Firewood
• Fireworks
• Flag poles
• Flares
• Large umbrellas
• Hammers
• Illegal substances (drugs)
• Laser pens/laser equipment
• Petrol burners
• Projectiles
• Smoke bombs
• Spray cans

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?

If you’re not camping at the festival, you will not be allowed to carry any food or alcohol into the site.

For those camping on-site, you can bring in as much food as you like. You can bring in your own alcohol too, but there are some limitations in place:

• 24 cans and a litre plastic bottle of spirit or wine per person
• Any alcohol in glass bottles must be transferred into a plastic bottle before entering the site
• Strictly no kegs allowed

I’m camping on-site, what are the essential items I need to pack?

1. Your ID – Creamfields is strictly an 18’s and over event. You will be asked for this when you enter and if you want to buy alcohol on-site.

2. Sun block/lotion – You will be spending long periods of time outdoors which means exposure to harmful UV rays!

3. Deodorant balm – Glass perfume bottles and aerosols are banned from the site. Find a good alternative in a deodorant balm or plastic roll-on bottle.

4. Bin bags – There will be numerous bins situated around the camping site. However, keep your own area tidy by stashing away any cans/packets in your own bin bags, too.

5. Anti-bac wipes – Unless you’ve got a Dreamfields luxury camping ticket, you’ll be sharing washroom facilities with thousands of other people. Give surfaces a quick wipe-down before you use them.

6. Baby wipes – A small pack of this in your handbag can do wonders in terms of keeping you fresh throughout the duration of the festival.

7. Earplugs – It can get quite loud at the festival, especially at night. Pop some earplugs in and give yourself the much-needed rest you require.

8. Flag for your tent – Remember, flag poles aren’t allowed inside the premises. Instead, grab some duct tape and tape a flag to your tent to help you recognise which one is yours when you’re headed back to the campsite at night.

9. Portable charger – There will be various charging points around the festival. Along with getting your phone fully charged, grab a portable charger so you can give your phone that extra boost.

10. Bottled water – It’s essential to keep yourself hydrated throughout the festival. There are water points situated throughout the festival for you to refill as and when needed.

How do I get to the festival?

If you’re camping at the festival, chances are you’re driving there. As you enter Daresbury, you will see clearly signposted routes to the festival. It is recommended that you don’t follow sat-nav systems as there will be numerous road closures in place around the festival site.

If you’re travelling across the Mersey Gateway Bridge or Silver Jubilee Bridge, you will need to pay the Merseyflow toll charge. The quickest and fastest way to do this is by using the Caura app.

Once you’ve downloaded Caura, add the vehicle registration number for the car you’re driving and tap ‘Roads and Tolls’. Select the Merseyflow charge and confirm payment.

Creamfields parking

If you haven’t pre-booked parking, you can also pay on-site. The Creamfields parking is clearly signposted as you drive towards the campsite.

Car park prices are £30 for 2, 3 & 4-day camping, and £20 per day for Day Ticket holders.
