We need a smooth operator who can build and scale a team that can manage and accelerate our rapid growth towards becoming the single platform that drivers use to run their cars right


The role

You will be Caura’s first operations hire!


This means you’ll work very closely with the cofounders and senior leadership team and will be crucial to the long-term success of the business. You will manage the entire operations processes, from design through to execution and automation. All with the goal of delivering a first-class customer experience


Your role will include:

  • Building and developing an Operations team, alongside existing team members who manage ops on a day-to-day basis
  • Professionalising the customer support function, setting SLAs for support, and implementing the processes to achieve them
  • Identifying where inefficiencies / risks exist in the business and designing efficient, effective, and scalable solutions to these issues
  • Working with the product team to develop processes that support the rapid deployment of new features and helping them develop and roll out an automation plan
  • Working with marketing to support acceleration of growth – both from a customer success point of view, and on new product launches
  • Iterating upon and optimising existing processes and systems. If needed this may mean replacing or removing process to drive growth
  • Regularly identifying opportunities for process automation and making data-backed recommendations on execution so that we can redeploy the team to new and high value projects
  • Working with the Director of Insurance to develop robust and scalable process for managing Caura’s insurance customer base in line with FCA regulations and guidelines
  • Developing and rolling out the adoption of internal policies and controls where appropriate

Your previous experience

You have:

  • previous experience in operations within a technology business
  • demonstrable growth within a team and have previous experience managing a team successfully
  • experience designing and implementing new systems and processes from first-principles
  • delivered projects to tight deadlines and hit key KPIs
  • experience managing and dealing with customer queries and setting a friendly, coherent, and on-brand tone of voice

Nice to haves

Bonus points if you have:

  • worked in startups before
  • set up a team before
  • experience setting and owning performance against KPIs
  • some experience in any relevant industry for Caura e.g.  automotive, fintech, or insurance/insurtech
  • used support tools (e.g. Intercom/Zendesk) and know how to leverage automation features within them
